Our Coal Island is located in Duisburg-Ruhrort, Germany’s largest river port.
Once coal is unloaded from the barges, it is stockpiled, blended or transloaded directly to a train or vessel for the next leg in its voyage in keeping with your preferences and quality requirements.
All Coal Island equipment is interconnected to support any combination of stockpiling and blending. Our robust logistics chain provides maximum supply reliability for you at all times.
More handling capacity for imported coal
We are currently expanding the Coal Island to cover the growing demand for imported coal in Germany. The stockpiling areas are being enlarged as part of this process.
